In Which I Attend a Meeting
Tonight, Commandante Agi and I attended a meeting of the College Republicans at the University of California, Irvine. It was a panel discussion; the main issue was whether or not Muslims in the United States are doing enough to distance themselves from terrorists and to support the War on Terror. As you'll see, the conversation soon diverged from that.
I've split this post into
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Added: My thoughts on the meeting.
Added: My response to commenters, part 1 and part 2. There was some crazy shit in that comments section! Also, here's a post that shows an interesting contrast in what various commenters think of me.
I am going to write out my personal reactions to this evening's events tonight, but I will not post them until some later date, after people have had their say in the comments. I want to see what everyone (people who were there and who have only read my account) thinks of what went on, and then I'll share what I thought and how I feel right now. Thanks in advance for your participation.
Some Notes:
If you are a new visitor to this blog, welcome, and please feel free to comment. Comments can be left anonymously; no need to have a blogger ID. Please, let me know what you thought of tonight's meeting and what impressions you left with, of the Muslim protesters, the speakers, or whatever. Thanks for your input.
